ECU Remapping

We offer a vehicle ECU remapping service to help you get the best economy and performance from your vehicle. We are an Authorised Avon Tuning Agent, meaning we can provide the highest standard of vehicle remapping to your vehicle.

We will carry out a full engine diagnostic check before carrying out any tuning. We only use top quality authorised maps which is why we can offer a lifetime guarantee on all software work we carry out for you. Plus we’ll keep a copy of your original manufacturer map so if you need to return the car to its factory settings at any point, we can reload the original map.

We offer various levels of tuning. If you are unsure which is most appropriate for your needs, contact us for no obligation advice.

Stage 1 Tuning

This level of tuning will increase power and torque. You can also see improvements in fuel efficiency for a better MPG. Get a more responsive drive with fewer flat spots whilst still focusing on reliability.

Stage 2 Tuning

A stage 2 tune will give you more power and torque. Expect to see fewer gains in MPG, this level of mapping is all about performance. Please note your vehicle may need further modifications or performance parts to support stage 2 tuning.

Economy Tuning

This is all about improving the MPG of your vehicle – a big consideration for many customers as fuel prices increase. We will tune your vehicle so that torque is increased allowing you to drive at much lower engine revs, resulting in fuel savings.

OBD Remapping

We can remap most cars that incorporate an On Board Diagnostic port (OBD). All petrol cars after 2001 and diesel cars after 2003 are fitted with an OBD port, however OBD ports were fitted to many cars before becoming standard. Remapping through the OBD port is the most efficient and non-intrusive tuning method that allows us to yield some truly amazing results without even opening the bonnet.

BDM and Chip Tuning

Remapping a vehicle through its OBD port is not always possible for a number of reasons, the car may not have an OBD port, the port may be faulty or the port may even be ‘tune protected’. But don’t worry we have the solution. If your vehicle cannot be remapped through the OBD port we can either connect directly to the ECU or replace the chip within the ECU. Connecting direct to the ECU is called BDM (Back Door Module) tuning and replacing the internal chip of an ECU is called ‘chip tuning’, in order to carry out either of these processes the ECU will have to be removed from the vehicle and tuned in a clean, safe and static free environment.
